Stephen Fry has confirmed, via Twitter, that he is voicing LittleBigPlanet PSP.
Speculation arose earlier this morning when Fry’s Twitter was updated with the post: “Morning all. In studio today voicing 2nd edition of a video game. Will check when I’m there if I’m allowed to say what it is…”
Naturally, this led to suspicions of either Fable 2 DLC, LittleBigPlanet 2, or the previously announced LittleBigPlanet PSP - and it turns out that it was the latter.
The latest update on the subject from the Twitter reads: “I’ve come to the end of a lush voice-athon and yes, am empowered to confess that it was for a new PSP version of Little Big Planet.”
Good news for fans of velvety voices in videogames, then.
I’ve been saying this for a while now, but Sony focusing more than anyone this gen on first party development looks like it’s going to pay off big time. While Microsoft have been cutting first party studios left and right, Sony has added to their first party, and are bigger than Microsoft and Nintendo combined. But it’s not just the size that gives them the advantage…
